About The Position

Aurora Behavioral Health Care-San Diego is a fiscally stable, growing organization seeking a Director of Plant Operations to provide dynamic leadership. This role is responsible for maintaining the facility and ensuring the hospital is compliant with all regulatory agencies. The Director will also ensure a safe and very clean environment for patients, staff, and visitors. Additionally, this position acts as the company Safety Officer and Chair for the Safety Committee.

Requirements

  • Excellent Customer Service and Communication skills.
  • Technical Expertise, Facility Management skills, Preventative Maintenance and Project Management skills.
  • Understanding of OSHA regulations and other Safety Standards relevant to HealthCare facilities.
  • Evaluation of hospital fire safety programs accident prevention and compliance with Joint Commission, Title XXII, OSHA and other regulatory directives.
  • Oversee Plant Maintenance Operations staff and Housekeeping.
  • Maintain up to date requirements for Plant Ops and Housekeeping.
  • Train new Plant Operations staff.
  • Local travel required.
  • Minimum 3 years’ previous management experience.
  • Management experience in Healthcare Hotels or University environment.
  • Familiarity with Joint Commission, OSHA, HCAI/OSHPD.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and CA DL required.
  • Verbal De-escalation and Physical Restraint Technique Training (provided) and BLS CPR Certifications required prior to completion of new employee orientation.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate Degree, preferred.
  • Plumbing, electrician, or general contractor certification/license preferred.
  • Behavioral Healthcare experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for supervising the day-to-day maintenance operations of the hospital.
