About The Position

At Revive, we are not just renovating homes — we are unlocking value through complex, high-dollar projects that require real planning, real permitting, and disciplined execution. Many of our projects exceed $500K–$1M+ in scope, and the difference between success and failure is not demand — it is whether the project is properly structured, approved, and buildable before construction begins. This role exists to ensure that happens. You will own the architectural readiness, permitting execution, and city coordination required to move projects from concept to reality. This is a critical role responsible for removing friction between plans, permits, and execution. You will step into projects before they break—or after they already have—and bring clarity, direction, and momentum to move them forward.

Requirements

  • 5–10+ years of experience in construction, permitting, planning, architecture coordination, or related roles
  • Strong ability to read and interpret architectural and structural plans
  • Experience working with permitting processes and city approvals
  • Familiarity with zoning, code requirements, and construction sequencing
  • Experience coordinating with architects, engineers, contractors, and consultants
  • Proven ability to identify and resolve construction or permitting issues

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with residential renovation or development projects preferred
  • California experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Own architectural plan readiness across projects, ensuring all drawings, plan sets, and supporting documentation are complete, accurate, and aligned with execution requirements
  • Review construction plans, scopes of work, and specifications to identify gaps, inconsistencies, or risks related to constructability and permitting
  • Manage the permitting process end-to-end, including submission, plan check responses, corrections, approvals, and timelines
  • Serve as the primary liaison between Revive and city planning departments, building departments, and permitting authorities
  • Coordinate directly with architects, structural engineers, and consultants to ensure plans meet code requirements and pass review
  • Identify and resolve plan check comments, corrections, and compliance issues quickly and effectively
  • Ensure all approved plans are not only compliant but fully buildable and executable in the field
  • Unblock projects delayed by permitting issues, incomplete plans, or city feedback
  • Provide clear direction on what is required to move projects forward when issues arise
  • Establish and refine standards for plan quality, permitting workflows, and project readiness
  • Identify zoning, permitting, and structural risks early in the project lifecycle before capital is deployed
  • Maintain visibility across active projects and intervene where planning or permitting risk is highest
  • Support construction and production teams by ensuring projects are properly structured before execution begins
