About The Position

The primary responsibility of the Director of PL College is to provide spiritual, visionary, team-based, value-driven leadership for the PL College in a manner consistent with the vision, mission, values, and major objectives of Pinelake Church. The Director develops, coaches, and resources the PL College team by cultivating biblical community, leading strategy, facilitating collaboration, and fostering spiritual development within our PL College and their areas of influence.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree
Ten years of ministry experience in college ministry contexts.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
Ability to work with a diverse group of people.
Communicate clearly and effectively on the telephone, e-mail and in person, demonstrating tact and diplomacy.
Exceptional interpersonal skills are required to develop and maintain strong working relationships with volunteers, co-workers, the public, church members and regular attendees.
Ability to understand written or oral instructions; read, analyze, and interpret documents, instructions manuals, and policies and procedures.
Demonstrated skill in the use of Windows/MacOS to complete tasks, including word processing and spreadsheets.
Ability to use the internet for information retrieval.
Basic mathematical skills.
Knowledge of bookkeeping and basic accounting.
Budget and expense monitoring.
Ability to read financial information and spreadsheets.
Simultaneous conceptualization and planning of multiple tasks.
Ability to project outcomes using different implementation strategies.
Ability to apply creative and innovative thinking to problem situations.
Ability to work effectively and efficiently under stressful conditions to ensure deadlines are met.

Responsibilities

Provides vision, strategy, coaching, alignment, and resourcing to the PL College across all campuses in alignment with the direction of the Lead Team.
Establishes goals and objectives for the PL College and initiates strategies to fulfill them.
Relationally shepherds the Pastors and Ministers within the PL College to support their spiritual and professional development.
Leads collaboration and strategy for PL College conferences and special events.
Collaborates with Pinelake Missions team in mobilizing students for Kingdom impact.
Shapes and supervises servant leader and small group leader development within the PL College in keeping with the principles taught in Ephesians 4:11-12.
Directs, evaluates, and oversees Pinelake’s Discipleship Pathway process, in conjunction with the Discipleship team, for college students along with outreach, ministry structure, and special events.
Influences the PL College culture by modeling and shepherding toward spiritual, emotional, relational, physical, and organizational health.
Communicates consistently with the Campus Pastors and NextGen Pastors regarding the health and development of their respective staff in the PL College, as well as the One Church strategy and vision.
Collaborates with Pinelake’s Resourcing and Creative teams regarding curriculum, content, and promotional material for the PL College.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Supervises exempt and non-exempt personnel.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and evaluating performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems; and administering vacation/paid time off and other personnel procedures in conjunction with the Director of Operations and the Human Resources policies and procedures.
