Requirements
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience
- Licensed pharmacist in North Carolina
Responsibilities
- Reviews and interprets physician orders, check for drug interactions, allergies, and contraindications, and prepare or dispense medications safely
- Provides guidance to healthcare providers on drug selection, dosing, and administration, contributing to treatment planning and patient safety
- Maintains accurate records, manages drug inventories, and ensures compliance with laws, regulations, and hospital policies regarding medication storage, distribution, and use
- Works closely with interdisciplinary teams, including doctors, nurses, and specialists, to support patient care, infection control, and antimicrobial stewardship programs
