The Director of Pharmacy will lead all aspects of pharmacy operations, including planning, organizing, and supervising services in alignment with hospital policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements. You will collaborate with hospital leadership to implement innovative pharmacy practices, supported by proprietary CPS software, a dedicated support team including experts in operations, clinical, and regulatory as well as a CPS Area Director or Senior Vice President. About the Facility: Marion Health is a well-established nonprofit healthcare system dedicated to providing advanced, compassionate care to the residents of Grant County and surrounding communities. The organization offers a broad spectrum of clinical services, modern healthcare technology, and a collaborative work environment focused on quality patient outcomes. Optum/CPS Solutions, LLC has partnered with the hospital to manage the day-to-day operations of this pharmacy. This position is an employee of Optum/CPS Solutions, LLC. Location: Marion General Hospital, 411 N Wabash Avenue, Marion, IN 46952 Schedule: This is a full-time position – Monday-Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Requirements

  • ACPE-accredited PharmD degree or BS of Pharmacy
  • Active State of Indiana pharmacist license in good standing
  • Management/supervisory experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for all pharmacy services within a single hospital, aligning operations with the hospital’s clinical, quality, and financial goals
  • Ensure safe, effective, and evidence-based medication use, overseeing clinical pharmacy practice, medication safety, and formulary management
  • Lead, develop, and hold accountability for pharmacy leadership and staff, including managers, pharmacists, technicians, and support teams
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, accreditation, and legal requirements, including Joint Commission, CMS, USP, BOP and state/federal laws
  • Oversee pharmacy financial performance, including budgeting, purchasing, contract management, and cost-containment initiatives
  • Collaborate with executive leadership and interdisciplinary stakeholders, supporting system-wide patient care, quality, and safety initiatives
  • Drive innovation, performance improvement, and strategic growth, leveraging data, technology, and best practices to advance pharmacy services
