About The Position
Specialty Medical Staffing is currently seeking a Director of Pharmacy (PIC) for an interim assignment at a behavioral health hospital in Kentucky. Assignment Details Start: May 4 End: June 19 (potential for extension) Schedule: Monday–Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm Weekend: Potential coverage starting May 30 (Sat/Sun 8:00am–12:00pm plus on-call) Additional Information Behavioral health hospital setting No technician support initially (staffing in progress) Transitioning from external pharmacy services to in-house model Go-live targeted for late May Training provided for systems and site workflows No sterile compounding required Dress code: Business casual (scrubs TBD) Credentialing Requirements Background check Drug screen HIPAA training TB Flu COVID (initial series documentation) Driver’s license (for site clearance) Code of Conduct attestation Additional site onboarding requirements may apply
Requirements
- Active Kentucky Pharmacist License in good standing
- Inpatient hospital experience required
- Experience with pharmacy setup and implementation required
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Omnicell and HCS preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead pharmacy operations and oversight
- Support full pharmacy buildout and go-live process
- System setup including HCS and Omnicell
- Medication ordering and inventory management
- Order verification and staffing support
- Policy development and hospital collaboration
