About The Position

The Director of Person Driven Services serves as a key member of the leadership team, working closely with the Executive Director to advance the organization's mission, strategic goals, and operational excellence. This position provides oversight and support across critical organizational functions, including program management, research and development, training, and marketing initiatives. The Director exercises a high degree of autonomy, professionalism, and sound judgment while fostering effective communication among leadership, management, and support staff. Responsible for promoting the organization's fiscal health, implementing short- and long-range planning strategies, and maximizing organizational resources, the Director upholds the highest standards of integrity, respect, and service in all interactions with employees, clients, consumers, and community partners.

Requirements

  • Must live in the state of Pennsylvania
  • Graduate degree in a human service or education focus
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a Manager role

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Complete behavioral evaluation and detailed assessment of individualized needs for individuals who have a Behavioral Support Plan (BSP), a Restrictive Procedure Plan (RPP), or who have a protocol pursuant to 55 Pa. Code § 6100.344 to address social, emotional, and environmental needs
  • Review and revise plans as indicated above for each individual at annual ISP
  • Revise the plans in conjunction with each individual and each individual’s plan team, including the individual’s Supports Coordinator, and train direct care employees in implementing the plans
  • Train all employees in consumer behavioral health needs
  • Assess each individual’s behavior support needs
  • Revise and update all policies and procedures relating to behavior plans
  • Participate in the development of various plans including Restrictive Procedure Plans, Desensitization Plans, Behavior Support Plans to include the Person Directed Framework
  • Ensure that Human Rights Team reviews are in compliance with best practice standards and completed as required every six months for each individual and documentation reflects what was reviewed and is complaint with 55 pa. Code 6100
  • Oversee and work with the Director of Administrations and Operations to increase efficiency and remain compliant with with 55 Pa. Code 6100, QA&I, and to monitor and develop contracts, oversee and manage fiscal practices and assure timely and appropriate invoicing takes place in coordination with Inperium fiscal department.
  • Oversight of behavioral interventions
  • Conduct reviews of all individuals Behavior Support Plans (BSP) to measure compliance with PDCS policies and 55 Pa. Code Chapter 6100
  • Develop and implement procedure to ensure Behavior Support Plans (BSP) for all individual’s are located in their homes to include the following: Employees working with the individual’s must be aware of how they can access and reference the Behavior Support Plan (BSP) at any time; Upon completion of an update to the Behavior Support Plan (BSP), the previous plan document must remain in the home until it is replaced with the current Behavior Support Plan (BSP); Any/all employees, county employees, and/or inspection employees will have easy access to the Behavior Support Plan (BSP) within each Community Living Arrangement
  • Identifies systemic trends through data design, collection, and analysis and participates in work groups to correct needs areas as identified
  • Participate in quality assurance activities for consumers and employees; make recommendations for changes
  • Represent organization at County and State meetings
  • Participate in Committees as assigned
  • Person Driven Framework policy development
  • Develop, facilitate and train employees on the Person Driven Framework (PDF)
  • Develop, facilitate and train consumers on the Person Driven Framework, including the use of emotion cards
  • Coordinate with the Training Department to develop, track and monitor Competency Based Training (CBT) testing related to PDF
  • Oversee the Senior Manager and Manager’s practice of mentoring and assisting staff with using the PDF in their daily work to interact with other employees, superiors, and consumers and partner organizations, while also mentoring and assisting all staffs to use the PDF as needed
  • Assure future planning for the health of the organization and the continued practice of being Person Driven
  • Adhere to and follow the By-Laws of the Corporation and as set forth in the Articles of Incorporation
