Hamilton Families is seeking an experienced and values-driven Director of People & Culture to join their growing team. This role is a key leadership position focused on advancing the mission to end family homelessness in the San Francisco Bay Area. The Director will shape a people-centered, equity-focused workplace that supports staff delivering critical services across a multi-site organization. Reporting to the Chief People & Culture Officer (CPCO), this role provides strategic and operational leadership across all human resources functions. The Director partners with the CPCO to develop and implement people strategies that drive employee engagement, retention, and organizational effectiveness within a complex, compliance-driven Union environment. The role oversees core HR functions including talent acquisition and development, employee relations, performance management, and compliance, utilizing an equity and trauma-informed lens. A significant responsibility includes navigating complex employee relations matters, particularly within a unionized environment, and ensuring adherence to all applicable employment laws and government contract requirements. As a trusted advisor, the Director promotes inclusive and equitable practices, strengthens organizational culture, and supports a diverse workforce. This position directly supervises People & Culture team members, focusing on building team capacity, enhancing systems and processes, and ensuring operational excellence aligned with organizational values and goals.
