About The Position

The Director, Patient Engagement & Growth is the execution owner for the patient channel within the commercial growth engine. The role translates the VP of Growth’s patient engagement and outreach strategy into executed initiatives and recovered patient volume. It addresses gaps where patients leave the funnel, especially during order follow-up, scheduling, diagnostic workup, and annual return, and connects Operations, Marketing, the Contact Center, and the center network to implement engagement initiatives consistently. Success is measured by reduced patient leakage, higher order-to-appointment conversion, and completed exam volume, within the VP’s funnel-health and volume, rate, and mix cadence. The Director provides funnel analytics and recovery actions, executes multi-channel patient campaigns, leads operational follow-up on physician referrals and orders, and directs cross-functional engagement initiatives through influence rather than direct authority. The role owns the service-level agreement for outbound call work performed within the Contact Center and manages implementation and performance of third-party outreach partnerships established by the VP. The position is remote with onsite work as needed and is full-time. The department describes itself as highly engaged, collaborative, fast-paced, and growth-oriented. Solis Mammography describes its patient-focused culture as centered on compassionate, exceptional care and identifies itself as the nation’s leader in breast health services.

Requirements

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree.
  • Healthcare experience is strongly preferred; women’s health, imaging, or multi-site provider operations experience is a distinct advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a data-backed view of patient-channel conversion and drop-off across referral receipt, order placement, appointment scheduling, exam completion, diagnostic follow-up, and annual rescreening.
  • Lead initiatives to recover patients who leak from the funnel, particularly patients with unscheduled or aged open orders.
  • Feed stage-level leakage findings into the VP’s weekly funnel-health reviews and closed-loop reporting, and translate findings into prioritized recovery actions.
  • Drive completion of diagnostic pathways, including BI-RADS 0 cases requiring additional imaging.
  • Execute multi-channel patient engagement campaigns for recall and reactivation, no-show recovery, annual rescreen reminders, and compliance outreach.
  • Partner with Marketing to operationalize campaign audiences, messaging, cadence, and channel mix; run a test-and-learn program focused on measurable completed-exam outcomes.
  • Report campaign performance into the VP’s operating cadence against conversion and volume targets.
  • Lead systematic follow-up on physician referrals and orders so that orders are pursued through to scheduling, with clear ownership and turnaround service-level expectations.

  • Track order and referral conversion by source and share lost-conversion reasons with Sales, Marketing, and demand-generation teams.
  • Lead patient engagement initiatives across cross-functional teams, including Operations and Marketing, and align teams on goals and priorities.
  • Partner with the VP of Contact Center Operations on initiatives that drive Contact Center volume; the Contact Center retains responsibility for staffing, workforce management, technology, and agent quality.
  • Own the service-level agreement directing the outbound call team within the Contact Center; set attempt, turnaround, and conversion standards, review performance, and reprioritize the outbound queue as leakage patterns change.
  • Hold cross-functional teams accountable for engagement and conversion outcomes through influence rather than direct authority.
