About The Position

DataCamp is seeking a Director of Partnerships and Technology Alliances to build and scale the partnerships function for its curriculum. This role involves bringing leading content providers, technology vendors, and high-profile instructors onto the DataCamp platform. The position is a player-coach role reporting to the Content organization, responsible for owning the end-to-end partnership strategy, closing deals, and building a team as the function grows. The day-to-day activities include defining the partnership strategy, sourcing and negotiating deals for licensed and co-branded content, official vendor certifications, and instructor agreements. The role requires building and managing senior relationships within the AI, data, and cloud ecosystem, collaborating with internal teams (curriculum, product, legal, marketing) to launch partnerships, defining partner quality standards, managing the commercial and contractual aspects of partnerships, and eventually hiring, coaching, and growing a small partnerships team. The Director will also report on partnership performance and make strategic decisions about portfolio management.

Requirements

  • 3-5+ years in partnerships, alliances, or business development at a B2B SaaS or technology company, with a track record of sourcing and closing deals you personally led.
  • Deep fluency in the AI, data, and cloud landscape. You know who the players are, how the ecosystem is shifting, and which partners will matter in 18 months.
  • Experience in the education, EdTech, or enterprise L&D market, and a real understanding of what makes learning content valuable to a buyer and to a learner.
  • Proven ability to build a function from near-scratch: you’re a self-starter and are able to seamlessly switch from strategy to execution.
  • Strong commercial and negotiation skills, including comfort with licensing, revenue share, and content rights.
  • Excellent cross-functional judgment. You can hold your own with content, product, and legal teams and translate between partner ambitions and internal reality.

Nice To Haves

  • An existing network across AI and data technology vendors, certification bodies, or the creator and expert community in data and AI.
  • A deep understanding of the DataCamp course format—you have an intuitive sense of what makes a great DataCamp course.
  • Experience as an educator or curriculum developer in technical education.

Responsibilities

  • Own DataCamp's partnership strategy for curriculum: which content providers, technology vendors, and marquee experts we partner with, in what order, and why.
  • Source, negotiate, and close partnerships—licensed and co-branded content, official vendor certifications, and marquee instructor deals.
  • Build and manage senior relationships across the AI, data, and cloud ecosystem, from partner leadership through to their content and product teams.
  • Work with curriculum, product, legal, and marketing to take partnerships from signed agreement to live content that learners actually complete.
  • Define what a high-quality partner looks like for DataCamp and hold the bar—prioritizing depth and learner impact over volume of logos.
  • Own the commercial and contractual side of partnerships, including licensing terms, revenue share, and instructor agreements.
  • Hire, coach, and grow a small partnerships team over time, while continuing to carry your own portfolio of relationships.
  • Report on partnership performance to leadership, and make the call on which partnerships to double down on and which to retire.

  • Competitive salary with attractive benefits
  • Flexible working hours
  • Remote-friendly culture
  • Yearly learning & development budget
  • Annual IT equipment budget
  • Best-in-class medical insurance including dental and vision
