About The Position

The Director of Outpatient Services – BH (A Licensed Professional) provides the leadership and strategic planning for the facility, ensuring the delivery of clinical programs that meet the needs of the community and the facility’s performance goals and objectives. Responsibilities include the overall administrative processes of budgetary control, management systems for all clinical services offered at the facility, Intake and Assessment activities, Utilization review, Regulatory and Compliance issues and business development coordination.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree from an accredited college or university in Health and Human Service field
  • Minimum two (2) years experience in a mental health setting performing group, individual and/or family therapy with children and adolescents.
  • One (1) year administrative experience, specifically experience with supervising other clinicians.
  • Must possess a clinical license (LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LPC-S, PMH-NP).
  • Strong knowledge of current evidenced-based practices.
  • CPR and CPI training as outlined in the New Hire Policy must be completed before providing direct care services.

Responsibilities

  • In coordination with the Director of Clinical Services for Outpatient, develop and implement an organized Clinical services program based on the specialized patient populations.
  • Maintain compliance with clinical program policy manual.
  • Maintain and allocate a well-qualified core of staff resources according to approved FTE guidelines.
  • Assure that hiring, disciplinary actions and termination procedures are conducted in accordance with hospital policies and in consultation with Director of Human Resources and Director of Clinical Services for Outpatient.
  • Ensure adequate supervision and evaluation processes for all staff members with timely completion of written evaluation according to facility policy.
  • Ensure adequate orientation and staff development for all employees.
  • Aids facilities contact for student or Internship affiliations ensuring contracts with institutions are current and students/interns are appropriately supervised.
  • Complete and submit monthly PI report and ensure that all deficiencies identified through the performance improvement analysis are addressed with appropriate problem-solving actions.
  • Responsible for coordinating census development activities with designated Community Education Specialist and participating in community contacts.
  • Maintain communication and coordination with attending physicians to meet the needs of the program.
  • Coordination with Charter school to meet educational needs of the patients.
  • Maintain physical plant in accordance with safety and regulatory standards. Work in conjunction with Plant Operations Director of MWH.
  • Completion of psychosocial assessments as needed.
