About The Position

Lead, build, and shape the future of outpatient behavioral health. Destiny Springs Healthcare is seeking a dynamic and visionary Director of Outpatient Services to lead and grow our outpatient and Intensive Outpatient (IOP) programs serving both adult and adolescent populations. Requirements

  • Master’s degree specializing in Social Work, Counseling or related field required.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience in program management in psychiatric, behavioral health, or mental health field.
  • Outpatient program start-up preferred
  • Thorough knowledge of AZDHS, TJC, CMS, OSHA, State and Federal regulatory requirements.
  • Licensed independent behavioral health professional in good standing (LPC, LCSW, LMFT)
  • CPR/Basic Life, Crisis Intervention prevention (CPI).

Responsibilities

  • Develops the IOP and outpatient services for adults and adolescents
  • Provides oversight of activities including psychosocial evaluations of patient’s physical, social and emotional functioning as well as financial and family support.
  • Provide direct clinical development and training.
  • Serves as a strategic partner to the CEO and other Senior Leadership members.
  • Ensure adherence to Infection Control, Safety, and Risk Management policies.
  • Represent program and reports in a timely fashion to the Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Committee (QAPI).
  • Ensure that additional services, including in-service training and group therapy/programming are planned, implemented and documented according to professional clinical standards.
  • Oversees and evaluates workflow efficiencies of the outpatient department.
  • Communicates with administration to resolve/satisfy all cases involving appeals, grievances, quality improvement, and risk management issues.
  • Develops treatment plans and coordinates additional services through referrals sources.
  • Provides direct supervision, guidance and professional development to staff including hiring, job training, communication and disciplinary counseling.
  • Manages the outpatient staff by assigning, communicating and delegating department responsibilities, assessments, and group assignments.
  • Manages departmental budget and cost containment.
  • Uses, protects, and discloses patients’ protected health information (PHI) in accordance with Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) standards.
  • Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies, work procedures and instructions.
  • Shares Administrator on call rotation
  • Coordinates discharge plans and services
