About The Position

Bancroft is a major human services agency with over 3000 team members, operating in NJ and DE. The Director of Organizational Development & Learning is responsible for driving initiatives that enhance leadership development, workforce training, and organizational effectiveness within an autism-focused behavioral health organization. This role plays a critical part in fostering a positive workplace culture, developing employee capabilities, and implementing learning strategies that support high-quality autism care. The Director will collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to ensure employees are well-equipped to provide compassionate, evidence-based support for individuals with autism and their families.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Organizational Development, Human Resources, Behavioral Health, Psychology, or a related field preferred.
  • 7+ years of experience in organizational development, learning & development, or leadership development, preferably in a healthcare or behavioral health setting.
  • 3+ years of experience managing a diverse Organizational Development & Learning team.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategies to strengthen company culture, employee engagement, and workforce retention.
  • Drive change management initiatives to support growth, transformation, and process improvements.
  • Use data-driven insights, employee feedback, and organizational assessments to inform development initiatives.
  • Design and implement training programs that enhance clinical, behavioral, and leadership competencies across all levels of the organization.
  • Oversee onboarding programs to ensure new employees receive a strong foundation in autism care, company values, and best practices.
  • Evaluate and implement learning technologies, e-learning platforms, and innovative training methods to enhance employee development.
  • Establish leadership development initiatives to build a strong pipeline of emerging leaders within the organization.
  • Provide coaching, mentoring, and training opportunities to strengthen management capabilities.
  • Lead succession planning efforts to identify and develop high-potential employees for future leadership roles.
  • Partner with clinical leadership to develop specialized training for therapists, behavior technicians, and clinical staff on autism intervention strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations, certifications, and continuing education requirements for employees.
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development to improve service delivery.
  • Work closely with HR, clinical teams, and senior leadership to align training and development initiatives with organizational goals.
  • Partner with external training providers, universities, and professional organizations to expand learning opportunities.
  • Communicate the impact of organizational development initiatives through reports and presentations to leadership.
