About The Position

Firehouse Subs is seeking an experienced, people-focused Director of Operations to oversee approximately 5 high-performing locations across the Houston area. This role is for a passionate leader who loves developing teams, driving strong operations, and creating an outstanding guest experience. As the Director of Operations, you will be the driving force behind your market’s success, leading, mentoring, and developing General Managers and their teams to ensure operational excellence, drive sales growth, traffic, and profitability, and deliver top-tier guest service while upholding brand standards. You will also be responsible for optimizing labor, food cost, scheduling, and inventory management, implementing company initiatives, executing training programs, and fostering a positive culture that supports engagement, retention, and high performance. Analyzing performance metrics and creating action plans for continuous improvement, as well as supporting new store openings, remodels, and ongoing brand development are also key aspects of this position.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of multi-unit restaurant leadership experience (QSR or Fast Casual preferred)
  • Strong ability to coach, motivate, and hold teams accountable
  • Proven track record of improving operations and achieving sales goals
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
  • A hands-on, people-first management style
  • Ability to travel between Houston-area stores regularly
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
