About The Position

The Director of Operations (Cleveland Clinic Courts) will oversee the day-to-day operation of the team training facility. This will include scheduling, event setup, staffing, maintenance, safety, and budget support. The role is often hands-on and requires coordination with coaches, front office staff, custodial teams, security, vendors, and other teams within the organization. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about team and facility operations. This is an in-office position based at Cleveland Clinic Courts in Independence, OH, that requires working a varied schedule onsite and will include weekends and evenings.

Requirements

4-year Bachelor’s Degree program, preferably with an emphasis on Facility Management, Engineering, or Sports Management.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in facility and operations management (sports or athletic industry highly preferred) and at least 2+ years in a leadership role.
Candidates MUST have flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and occasional Holidays.
Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 tools (Teams, Excel, OneDrive).
Possesses a positive and creative attitude.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs. as needed.
Strong time management, organization and computer skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
A motivated individual who can take directions and execute at a high level with sometimes minimal follow-up.

Responsibilities

Management of daily facility operations, scheduling, and space use for practices, games, meetings and outside events.
Support of and effective completion of any duties assigned from the team, coaching staff or front office.
Supervise and coordinate facility staff, event staff, and third-party service providers.
Monitor maintenance, custodial services, security plan, repairs, inventory, and equipment needs throughout the facility.
Ensure compliance with the organization, league, and safety standards when applicable.
Support budgeting, purchasing, and capital or deferred maintenance planning.
Collaborates and communicates often with Team Members across various departments about ongoing projects and events.
Other duties as assigned.
