About The Position

The 'Director of Operations (Cleveland Clinic Courts)' will oversee the day-to-day operation of the team training facility. This will include scheduling, event setup, staffing, maintenance, safety, and budget support. The role is often hands-on and requires coordination with coaches, front office staff, custodial teams, security, vendors, and other teams within the organization. This is a hands-on role ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about team and facility operations. This is an in-office position based at Cleveland Clinic Courts in Independence, OH, that requires working a varied schedule onsite and will include weekends and evenings.

Requirements

  • 4-year Bachelor’s Degree program, preferably with an emphasis on Facility Management, Engineering, or Sports Management.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience in facility and operations management (sports or athletic industry highly preferred) and at least 2+ years in a leadership role.
  • Candidates MUST have flexible availability, including nights, weekends, and occasional Holidays.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 tools (Teams, Excel, OneDrive).
  • Possesses a positive and creative attitude.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must be able to stand or walk for extended periods and lift up to 25 lbs. as needed.
  • Strong time management, organization and computer skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced, high-energy environment.
  • A motivated individual who can take directions and execute at a high level with sometimes minimal follow-up.

Responsibilities

  • Management of daily facility operations, scheduling, and space use for practices, games, meetings and outside events.
  • Support of and effective completion of any duties assigned from the team, coaching staff or front office.
  • Supervise and coordinate facility staff, event staff, and third-party service providers.
  • Monitor maintenance, custodial services, security plan, repairs, inventory, and equipment needs throughout the facility.
  • Ensure compliance with the organization, league, and safety standards when applicable.
  • Support budgeting, purchasing, and capital or deferred maintenance planning.
  • Collaborates and communicates often with Team Members across various departments about ongoing projects and events.
  • Other duties as assigned.
