About The Position
Curo Pet Care is seeking a highly experienced leader in the veterinary or broader medical/service industry to serve as its Director of Operations for Specialty and Emergency Hospitals on the West Coast. This role will focus on the direct oversight and management of existing Spec/ER hospitals in the region, as well as the planning, construction, and growth of new, state-of-the-art referral centers. Curo Pet Care is a team of entrepreneurs and doctors using their own capital to improve the veterinary industry. Their mission is to partner with medical and management teams at acquired or newly started practices to provide the best, progressive, leading-edge, compassionate care to staff, patients, and clients. The practices boast industry-leading medical teams, state-of-the-art equipment, dedicated support staff, and loyal customers, with strong profitability and growth potential supported by the ownership team. The ideal candidate will be a highly capable manager of multi-site veterinary/medical/service operations with at least 7 years of experience, possessing deep expertise in HR, finance, marketing, facilities, and medical program support.
Requirements
- At least 7+ years of experience as a manager of multi-site veterinary/medical/service operations.
- Deep expertise in all areas of HR, finance, marketing, facilities, and medical program support.
- Experience in the veterinary or broader medical/service industry.
Nice To Haves
- CVPM certification is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Partnering with the ownership team to develop and execute strategic planning, marketing, financial management, and vendor relationships.
- Providing day-to-day operational support to hospital-level administrators, including HR/team management, bookkeeping, OSHA compliance, inventory, and client experience.
- Developing and implementing non-medical protocols, best practices, and staff training.
- Coordinating and overseeing the development and construction of new, state-of-the-art Specialty and Emergency hospitals in the region.
- Growing and developing the Curo Pet Care network in the region in partnership with Senior Management and Regional Directors of Operations.
