About The Position

Huntsville Hospital Urgent Care is seeking a Director of Operations for its Alabama market. The role has operational responsibility for the business functions of multiple assigned centers, with a minimum of 4 and maximum of 10 locations, ensuring service quality, financial results, effective resource use, efficient service delivery, and a superior patient experience. The role involves participating in both daily operations and management functions, and overseeing all team members assigned within the area.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of healthcare management experience.
• Working knowledge of workflow and scheduling.
• Ability to maintain a highly structured environment.

• Urgent care or primary care experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patient flow through centers to ensure appropriate use of business resources.
• Monitor center wait times and manage workflow accordingly.
• Identify opportunities to increase business and expand the scope of services offered.
• Support high team-member morale and a professional, effective, and efficient working environment.
• Participate in scheduled administrative business operations meetings.
• Counsel and discipline team members and recommend termination when necessary.
• Own performance results for patient experience, patient volume, financial results, and service standards.
• Act as the communication liaison between the home office and center team members.
• Understand the workflow and functions of all positions.
• Fill in for qualified positions when absences or patient volumes require additional help.
• Serve as the subject matter expert for training and systems, including UltiPro, DocuTAP, Healthstream, front desk processes, and Occupational Health.
• Implement home office policies and procedures and follow operational guidelines.
• Be responsible for Occupational Health sales and grassroots marketing for the centers, with support from home office service line leaders.
• Oversee all team members assigned within the area.
