Director of Operations – SFR Property Management We’re a growing property management company looking for someone to run and improve the operational systems that keep the business moving. This is a high-impact role working directly with the owner. You will take ownership of day-to-day operations and be responsible for building a more efficient, scalable organization. What You’ll Own: Oversee and improve operational systems across maintenance, leasing, and daily workflows Manage vendors and the internal team to ensure work is completed on time and at the right cost Build and enforce processes that create consistency and accountability Track and manage key metrics (turn times, response times, costs, efficiency) Identify problems, implement solutions, and continuously improve operations Act as the operational right-hand to the owner What This Role Is NOT: Not a hands-on maintenance position Not a technical repair role Not a “wait for direction” job—you are expected to take ownership What We’re Looking For: Highly organized and process-driven Strong communicator who can manage people and vendors Comfortable with software and systems Proven ability to coordinate multiple moving parts Self-starter who takes initiative and follows through Compensation: Base salary: $85,000–$95,000 Performance-based bonus + profit share tied to operational performance (target total compensation $120K+) Required to Apply (Read Carefully): I n 3–5 sentences, describe a system or process you personally improved that made a business run more efficiently. Own and manage day-to-day operations across the company Oversee workflow systems for maintenance, leasing, and property operations Ensure all work orders, turnovers, and projects are completed on time and within budget Manage and hold vendors and the internal team accountable to performance standards Build, improve, and enforce operational processes and systems Track key performance metrics (turn times, response times, costs, efficiency) Identify bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve speed and consistency Maintain clear communication across the team, vendors, and ownership Prioritize and manage multiple moving parts without letting details slip Continuously look for ways to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve service Act as the primary point of coordination for all operational activity Take full ownership of outcomes—not just tasks Highly organized with a strong sense of urgency and follow-through Naturally proactive—you don’t wait to be told what to do Strong communicator who can confidently manage people, vendors, and difficult situations Able to handle multiple priorities at once without losing attention to detail Problem-solver who takes ownership and finds solutions, not excuses Comfortable using technology and learning new systems quickly Thrives in a fast-paced, sometimes chaotic environment High standards—you notice when things are off and fix them Accountable and reliable—you do what you say you’re going to do
