About The Position

TRIGO Global Quality Solutions is seeking to fill a Director of Operations in the Metro Detroit area. This role involves directing and managing the implementation of business guidelines, strategies, policies, and operations to ensure peak performance within a specific region. The Director of Operations will be responsible for meeting financial, sales, and operational targets/KPIs, and must create, support, and demonstrate commitment to the company's Quality Policies & QMS.

Requirements

  • Full proficiency in local language

  • Computer skills – Microsoft Office (basic Microsoft Excel proficiency) and Outlook
  • Work Instruction Writing
  • 7+ years of work experience in automotive and/or manufacturing
  • Operational/Quality background with overview capabilities
  • Management responsibilities (operational and HR)
  • Exposure to client relationship
  • 4-year degree in Business/ Management or related field

Responsibilities

  • Client relationship & Business development: Maintain and develop solid relationships with key contacts at anchor and OEM accounts, ensuring clear and transparent communication with frequent and scheduled in-person meetings. Develop business with existing clients through farming and upselling (with support from Sales for quotation preparation and/or negotiation). Monitor competition (services, prices...) at a regional level. Assist Sales with bringing on new business opportunities (hunting).
  • Operations: Review working practices to ascertain success and devise alternatives if not. Conduct frequent site visits/audits to ensure high-level performance and customer satisfaction. Motivate teams and organize appropriate training. Ensure compliance with established KPIs. Ensure continuous improvement to optimize services provided and region efficiency. Demonstrate commitment to reduce the risk of workplace accidents. Comply with local and company Health & Safety legislation, laws, and policies.
  • Organization & management: Ensure asset and staff availability throughout the region for maximum performance. Promote positive changes throughout the organization. Develop new processes and procedures that improve services while controlling costs. Provide links between various departments, including management. Direct/manage recruiting to maintain staffing levels and performance, considering turnover and new business. Be a key contributor to company policies, systems, processes, strategies, budgets/forecasts, and KPIs.
  • Technical: Analyze technical requirements for customers' jobs/missions (existing or upcoming). Pull technical resources when needed to anticipate and fully address client needs. Provide technical support and advice to customers and operations teams. Support the development of technical expertise at the regional level.
