About The Position
SWEAT DC is a growing five-studio fitness brand (four in DC and one in Baltimore) seeking a Director of Operations to manage day-to-day operations across all studios. This role is crucial for ensuring a consistent member experience, managing studio teams, overseeing labor and budgets, and developing repeatable processes. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fitness and a strong background in multi-unit operations.
Requirements
- Five-plus years of experience running multi-unit operations (fitness, hospitality, restaurants, or schools are acceptable).
- Experience managing budgets.
- Experience leading managers.
- Systems-oriented mindset with a focus on making processes repeatable.
- Genuine love for fitness.
- Ability to work early mornings, evenings, and weekends, including approximately one weekend day most weeks.
- Ability to travel regularly between studios.
Responsibilities
- Ensure consistent operations across all five studios, providing the same experience for members on every visit.
- Manage studio managers and front desk teams, including hiring, coaching, and performance management.
- Implement and manage retention systems, including save calls for cancels and pauses, and follow-up with at-risk members.
- Oversee labor management and scheduling, ensuring coach pay, class coverage, and hitting labor targets by studio.
- Manage budgets, labor, and P&L awareness for each studio.
- Build and document processes in Trainual to centralize knowledge and ensure scalability.
