About The Position

Our portfolio company is hiring a Director of Operations to run the business day to day so the founders can focus on strategic execution. This is a hands-on leadership role. You will make decisions, solve operating problems directly, and build the people and processes that prevent those problems from returning. You should be comfortable moving between a location issue, a hiring decision, a payroll exception, a vendor choice, and a leadership conversation on the same day.

  • Evidence that you can lead a team while remaining close enough to the work to diagnose problems and act quickly.
  • Sound judgment about when to decide independently, when to gather more information, and when to involve founders or qualified counsel.
  • A practical approach to tools, contractors, automation, and AI that improves execution without adding unnecessary headcount.
  • Clear written and verbal communication, strong follow-through, and a record of holding teams accountable to measurable standards.
