The Department of Housing Preservation and Development (HPD) is the nation's largest municipal housing agency, responsible for maintaining housing standards and creating/preserving affordable housing in New York City. The Office of Development (OOD) within HPD leads efforts to create and preserve affordable housing. The Division of Portfolio Management & Conversions (PMC) is a key division within OOD, managing development projects after closing to ensure adherence to program requirements, facilitate rent restructuring, deploy rental assistance, and ensure timely completion. PMC administers programs including Conversions & Rental Assistance, Requisitions, and Construction Monitoring & Completions. The Director of Operations (D of O) will be responsible for overseeing all operational areas within the Division of Portfolio Management & Conversions, which has over 25 staff members across multiple teams. The D of O reports to the Assistant Commissioner for Portfolio Management and Conversions and will play a crucial role in developing and supervising division operations, including personnel, data management, policy, budget, and planning.
