About The Position

Responsible for supporting the Vice President of Operations in the execution of operational strategy across a multi-site dental organization. This role provides leadership to Area Managers, partners with cross-functional departments, and leads enterprise initiatives that improve practice performance, standardize operations, support growth, and strengthen organizational infrastructure. The Director serves as a strategic operational leader focused on execution, accountability, continuous improvement, and successful implementation of company priorities. This is a hybrid role. Candidates must reside in Michigan and be willing to travel to all company locations. Regular travel is required, including occasional overnight trips.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree preferred; equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
Minimum five years of multi-site healthcare or dental operations leadership experience.
Strong financial and operational acumen with experience managing budgets, P&Ls, forecasting, and KPI reporting.
Demonstrated success leading organizational change and cross-functional initiatives.
Excellent leadership, communication, analytical, and project management skills.
Experience with dental practice management systems and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

Create & Support execution of the organization's operational strategy, business plan, annual budget, and key performance indicators.
Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability to Area Managers and field leadership while fostering professional growth.
Monitor production, collections, EBITDA, scheduling efficiency, hygiene performance, staffing, patient satisfaction, and other operational metrics.
Partner with Doctors and Practice Leaders to drive accountability.
Lead enterprise special projects including acquisitions, integrations, office transitions, technology implementations, and strategic initiatives.
Develop, implement, and monitor Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and operational best practices.
Partner with Finance, Revenue Cycle, Human Resources, Marketing, Clinical, IT, and Executive Leadership to remove operational barriers and improve results.
Analyze operational and financial performance to identify opportunities, mitigate risk, and develop action plans.
Support staffing, onboarding, and retention.
Coordinate project plans, timelines, communication, and accountability for cross-functional initiatives.
Support Area Managers in P&L reviews, forecasting, expense management, and operational improvement planning.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives that increase efficiency, profitability, patient experience, and team engagement.
Develop leadership talent through coaching, onboarding, succession planning, and performance management.
Ensure compliance with company policies, HIPAA requirements, regulatory standards, and operational expectations.
Travel routinely to support practices, project implementation, and leadership development.
