About The Position
Big Meadows Nursing Home is accepting applications for the Director of Nursing Position. This role is responsible for supervising nursing operations and implementing procedures.
Requirements
- RN License (Required)
- Nursing: 5 years (Required)
Nice To Haves
- Nursing Management: 2 years (Preferred)
- Dementia: 1 year (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and oversight for all nursing staff (RNs, LPNs, CNAs)
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing policies and procedures
- Oversee staffing, scheduling, and performance management
- Lead infection control, quality assurance, and risk management programs
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, social services, and interdisciplinary teams
- Monitor resident care plans and clinical outcomes
- Manage department budget and supplies
- Serve as primary contact during state surveys and audits
- Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment
