About The Position

The Director of Nursing provides nursing leadership in an assisted living community. The role requires knowledge of state regulations governing nursing practice in assisted living, leadership skills for supervising and developing staff, and the ability to communicate effectively and maintain confidentiality. The position participates in an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• Current, active, unrestricted RN license in the state where the community is located.
• CPR and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain certification as required.
• Knowledge of state regulations governing nursing practice in an assisted living environment.
• Nursing leadership experience, including staff supervision, coaching, and performance management.
• Strong team-building, conflict-resolution, and employee-development skills.
• Excellent organizational, time-management, and prioritization skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic health record (EHR) systems.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in assisted living, senior living, long-term care, or a related healthcare setting.
• Knowledge of Alzheimer's disease, dementia, and memory care best practices.
