About The Position

Senior Helpers of Woodbridge is a locally owned provider of non-medical home care services dedicated to helping seniors remain safe, comfortable, and independent in their homes. We are looking for a compassionate, dependable Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as our Director of Nursing (DON) on a part-time/per Diem basis. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced RN seeking flexible hours while helping oversee clinical quality and making a meaningful difference in the lives of seniors and their families.

Requirements

  • Active and unencumbered New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license - required
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation - required
  • Current CPR/BLS certification
  • Strong assessment and documentation skills
  • Comfortable working independently in clients' homes
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Dependable, organized, and able to manage scheduled visits consistently

Nice To Haves

  • Home care, home health, geriatric, community health, or supervisory nursing experience preferred
  • Prior nursing leadership or supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience working with older adults and their families is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Conduct initial nursing assessments for new clients and develop individualized Plans of Care.
  • Conduct required in-home supervisory visits and evaluate each client's Plan of Care.
  • Complete reassessments and update Plans of Care as client needs change.
  • Monitor client condition and communicate changes or concerns to the appropriate members of the care team.
  • Provide clinical supervision, guidance, and support to Certified Home Health Aides (CHHAs).
  • Assist with caregiver orientation, competency validation, and documentation of delegated nursing tasks when applicable.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, visits, and Plans of Care.
  • Help ensure services are provided in accordance with applicable New Jersey home care regulations and company policies.
  • Collaborate with office staff, caregivers, clients, families, and other healthcare professionals to support quality client care.
  • Provide clinical oversight and guidance as the agency's client census grows.
