The Director of Nursing is responsible for analyzing and evaluating nursing care to improve quality of care. This role involves coordinating patient care with physicians and anesthesia providers, identifying and solving problems, and responding to emergency situations while maintaining competency. The Director of Nursing will analyze clinical documentation to ensure Center policies and procedures are followed. Additionally, this role monitors FTE utilization for cost-effective scheduling, shares knowledge from continuing education with staff, and prepares clinical staffing schedules. The Director works with the Center Leader to evaluate suggestions, grievances, and processes for improvement, and promotes adherence to safety policies and procedures. This position oversees the care, cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, and maintenance of instruments, supplies, and equipment, and ensures OSHA requirements are met. The Director actively participates in center committees, meetings, and activities, shares input on goals, and performs other assigned duties.
