Director of Nursing (RN)
About The Position
Arrowhead Behavioral Health is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to lead the delivery of quality nursing care for all inpatient and outpatient units. The DON will oversee all nursing-related activities, including unit admissions, discharges, crisis intervention, seclusion/restraint, and the involuntary admission process. This role ensures that programs and daily nursing functions operate in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards. The Director of Nursing has the authority to adjust staffing as necessary for day, night, and weekend shifts. Arrowhead Behavioral Health is a private behavioral health treatment facility located just outside of Toledo in historic Maumee, Ohio, dedicated to providing comprehensive psychiatric treatment and chemical dependency services to adults age 18 and older.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing.
- Bachelor’s and Master degree required.
- Previous management experience required.
- At least four years psychiatric nursing experience, which is the treatment and care of persons whose principal diagnosis and focus of treatment is a psychiatric disorder, the experience can include working as a staff nurse on a psychiatric inpatient unit or in an outpatient setting with individuals who have a primary psychiatric diagnosis.
Responsibilities
- Delivery of quality nursing care for all the inpatient and outpatient units.
- Oversee all nursing related activities including, but not limited to unit admissions, discharges, crisis intervention, seclusion/restraint, involuntary admission process.
- Assure programs and daily nursing functions are operating in accordance with hospital policies and professional standards.
- Adjust staffing as necessary for the day, night and weekend shifts.
