About The Position

The Director of Nursing will be responsible for the overall management and direction of nursing services within the Mission Home Health division. This role involves developing and implementing nursing policies, managing nursing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and coordinating patient care. The Director will oversee patient assessments, care plan development, and quality of care monitoring, while also contributing to budget planning and management for nursing services.

Requirements

• Extensive experience in hospice nursing, with a focus on management
• Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and standards
• Previous experience in hospice care settings is required
• Strong leadership and nurse management skills
• Ability to effectively manage a team and drive performance improvements
• Active State license as a registered nurse, or a multi-state license by a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) member state.
• Current valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation with valid auto liability insurance.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum one year of hospice or home care experience as a RN within the last 36 months.
• Hospice experience preferred.
• Management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with all healthcare regulations, including HIPAA
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
