About The Position

Texoma Medical Center is hiring a Director of Nursing for Emergency Services. Under the direction of a management council member, this role plans, organizes, directs, and supervises department programs. It ensures service excellence development, personnel management, and resource allocation and control; directs participation in special projects as needed; and coordinates hospital-wide compliance with state and federal regulations.

The role supports the facility’s nursing purpose of providing safe, competent care in accordance with facility policies, standards, and philosophy, while providing professional leadership and support to the healthcare team. Patient-centered care, professional nursing standards, and service excellence guide the work. The opportunity is full-time and offers flexible scheduling and benefits.

Requirements

• Current RN licensure in Texas or a compact state.
• Five years of experience in an acute-care supervisory or managerial position.
• Maintain all clinical competencies for the area of supervision.
• Current RQI BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; TNCC is required on hire.
• Maintain any additional certifications required by the area of supervision.
• Clinical competence in the population served and ability to work effectively with all levels of personnel.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication, and written communication skills.
• Critical-thinking skills and sound decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Service-excellence focus, including strong customer-service and team-building skills.

Nice To Haves

• BSN preferred.
• Clinical certification in the area of supervision preferred, such as CEN or TCEN.
