About The Position

Altercare Canal Winchester is hiring a registered nurse to serve as Director of Nursing Services. The role plans, organizes, and delivers nursing care in accordance with current state and federal regulations. The Director of Nursing establishes and implements standards of resident care on a 24-hour basis and helps ensure residents receive high-quality, compassionate care. The position works with nursing staff and coordinates services with other facility departments and external partners.

Requirements

Current registered nurse licensure in the state of employment.
CPR certification.
Strong desire to provide quality care to residents.
Detail-oriented and quality-process-oriented.

Nice To Haves

ADON or DON experience in a skilled nursing facility.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Five years of experience in skilled nursing.
Driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Establish and implement standards of resident care on a 24-hour basis.
Develop and maintain nursing service objectives, facility and departmental policies and procedures, standards of practice, and methods for coordinating nursing services with other disciplines.
Ensure adherence to corporate, state, and federal requirements.
Assist with developing the facility’s annual budget and monitor departmental expenditures.
Operate healthcare components in accordance with established policies and procedures and applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
Coordinate nursing services with community agencies, physicians, families, residents, consultants, ancillary service providers, and other facility departments.
