About The Position

Easterseals residential facilities provide 24-hour support to youth ages 5-21 with neurological and/or psychiatric disabilities. It is designed for males and females with psychological/emotional or neurological disabilities including pervasive developmental disorders, nonverbal learning disabilities, and traumatic brain injuries. Easterseals New Hampshire and Vermont elevates people of all abilities. We serve the diverse needs of approximately 18,000 children, adults, seniors, families, and veterans each year. We provide services across two states, and our programs cover areas like early intervention, autism, intellectual and developmental disabilities, adult day and in-home care, behavioral health, family-centered practices for child welfare, housing, and substance use disorders. Requirements

  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing from an accredited college
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse
  • A minimum of six years’ nursing experience with at least two years working with individuals with developmental or psychiatric disorder or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s Degree preferred
  • Administrative experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all aspects of nursing including hiring, training and developing staff
  • Coordinating with program staff to meet the needs of our clients
  • Providing direct nursing care to our clients
  • Ongoing medical monitoring and quality assurance of medical care according to Easter Seals medical policy and procedures
  • Assessment and triage of clients
  • Ordering and transcription of medications
  • Participating in educational groups with clients and staff
  • Documentation including daily nursing reports and communication to staff
