About The Position
Seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead Maternal Child Health services including Labor & Delivery, Postpartum, NICU, and Pediatrics in a fast-paced acute care setting.
Requirements
- Active New York RN license required
- BSN required
- Minimum 7 years nursing experience required
- Minimum 5 years leadership experience in Maternal Child Health required
- BLS and NRP required upon hire
- ACLS and PALS required
Nice To Haves
- MSN, MHA, or MBA preferred
- NEA-BC certification preferred
- Strong expertise in perinatal nursing and acute care
- Experience with Baby-Friendly standards and high-risk OB care preferred
Responsibilities
- Lead strategic initiatives focused on maternal and neonatal outcomes
- Oversee staffing, budgeting, and departmental operations
- Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and NYS Department of Health standards
- Manage Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement programs
- Collaborate with medical staff and executive leadership
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate nursing leadership and staff
- Promote evidence-based, family-centered patient care
