About The Position
Brookestone View is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) to provide clinical leadership, champion quality resident care, and help cultivate a workplace where both residents and team members feel valued, supported, and empowered. This is an opportunity to lead a dedicated nursing department within a community committed to compassionate, resident-focused care and professional excellence. As Director of Nursing, you will oversee all nursing services within the facility, ensuring residents receive high-quality, person-centered care while maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. You will guide clinical operations, support team development, and collaborate with interdisciplinary partners to achieve outstanding outcomes.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, Medicare standards, and clinical compliance.
- Experience utilizing EMR/EHR systems.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proven ability to lead teams, build relationships, and inspire others.
- Commitment to delivering compassionate, resident-centered care.
Nice To Haves
- Previous nursing leadership experience preferred.
- Experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, rehabilitation, or post-acute care settings preferred.
Responsibilities
- Direct and manage the overall operations of the nursing department.
- Recruit, mentor, coach, and retain nursing team members.
- Ensure compliance with state, federal, Medicare, and HIPAA regulations.
- Lead quality assurance and performance improvement initiatives.
- Monitor resident care outcomes and clinical quality measures.
- Oversee documentation and accuracy within electronic medical record systems.
- Coordinate care planning with physicians, therapists, department leaders, residents, and families.
- Manage staffing levels, scheduling practices, and nursing resources.
- Promote infection prevention, clinical excellence, and best nursing practices.
- Support a culture of accountability, teamwork, respect, and open communication.
- Participate in the facility's leadership on-call rotation.
