About The Position

Serves as the Director of Nursing Student Services for the College of Nursing, providing strategic leadership and operational oversight for the full continuum of student engagement, including prospective students, pre-nursing pathways, and enrolled nursing students. The position exists to design, implement, and manage a comprehensive, data-informed student lifecycle strategy that integrates recruitment, advising, admissions, progression, retention, and graduation processes across multiple campuses and programs. The role ensures compliance with institutional, state, and accreditation requirements while maintaining standardized, efficient, and student-centered operations. The Director is accountable for achieving enrollment, retention, and student success outcomes through effective leadership, operational execution, and cross-functional coordination. Work is performed under moderate direction and performance is based upon completion of assignments and results obtained. The performance evaluation is conducted through the performance evaluation system and in accordance with the University Policies & Procedures.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree required.
  • Minimum 5 - 7 years of progressive leadership experience in higher education.
  • Experience in enrollment management, student services, or academic operations.
  • Regular and reliable attendance at the University during regular scheduled days and work hours is an essential function of this position.

  • Knowledge of student lifecycle management from recruitment through graduation.
  • Knowledge of enrollment management strategy and student success frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive student lifecycle strategy spanning prospective, pre-nursing, and enrolled student populations.
  • Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to enrollment, progression, retention, and graduation outcomes.
  • Lead recruitment, outreach, and engagement strategies in coordination with Enrollment Management and university partners.
  • Design and oversee structured pre-nursing pathways and advising frameworks to support transition into nursing programs.
  • Direct all admissions, progression, retention, and graduation (APRG) processes across undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral programs.
  • Ensure compliance with Board of Nursing, accreditation, and institutional requirements related to student processes.
  • Coordinate with program directors to align student services operations with program direction, goals, and requirements.
  • Standardize policies, procedures, and service delivery models across Denton, Dallas, and Houston campuses.
  • Oversee student data systems, ensuring data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Lead the development, analysis, and verification of data for accreditation, regulatory reporting, and leadership decision-making.
  • Develop, maintain, and expand relationships with external partners supporting recruitment and student pipeline development.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and student outcomes.
  • Provide leadership, supervision, and professional development for student services and enrollment staff.
  • Represent the College in institutional committees and external partnerships.
  • Support strategic initiatives related to student access and success.
  • Performs other duties as requested.
