BrightStar Care of Honolulu•Honolulu, HI
•$100,000 - $100,000•Hybrid

About The Position

BrightStar Care of Honolulu is seeking a Director of Nursing (RN) to lead clinical care for clients across Oahu, encompassing personal care through skilled nursing. This role offers clinical authority, allowing the Director to stop unsafe tasks, restrict staff from certain skills, require retraining, and hold the start of care until clinically ready, with operations not overriding clinical safety decisions. The position involves working directly with a small clinical department, performing assessments, supervisory visits, and skilled visits when needed, with the goal of building a department where hands-on time is a deliberate decision rather than the default. The Director reports to the COO, with weekly one-on-ones, access to performance data, and timely decision-making on escalations. They will also have a seat on the leadership team, contributing to decisions on client intake, growth of skilled services, and team expansion. The role involves improving existing systems for visit tracking and documentation, with an initial focus on listening and learning before implementing changes.
