Director of Nursing (RN) - Emergency Services
About The Position
The Director of Nursing (RN) of Emergency Services at Aiken Regional Medical Centers, a 273-bed acute care facility in Aiken, South Carolina, is responsible for the twenty-four-hour management of multiple Emergency service departments and locations. This role involves directing, supervising, and evaluating staff performance, contributing to staff development, and supporting work redesign and quality improvement within the department. The Director also plans and administers the annual budget for multiple locations in collaboration with the CNO and integrates evidence-based nursing practice utilizing the nursing process. Aiken Regional Medical Centers is recognized for its quality healthcare and is a teaching facility supporting local nursing students.
Requirements
- BSN required
- Current South Carolina RN (or qualifying state) license.
- Previous management experience required.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of emergency nursing experience required.
- BLS, ACLS and PALS required.
- CPI training upon hire.
- Knowledge of human resources management, program development, fiscal management skills, and familiarity with regulatory and accrediting agency standards needed.

- Master's in related field preferred.
