About The Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Director of Nursing to join our team as Interim DON for 3 months. The Director of Nursing will be responsible for overseeing the nursing staff and ensuring the highest level of patient care is provided. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in nursing and management, as well as excellent communication and leadership skills.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred, not required
• Active Illinois Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum of 5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years in a management role
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards of care
• Ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills

Responsibilities

• Oversee the nursing staff and ensure the highest level of patient care is provided
• Develop and implement nursing policies and procedures
• Manage the nursing budget and ensure resources are used effectively
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care
• Recruit, train, and evaluate nursing staff
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards of care
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives
