About The Position

The Director of Nursing provides strategic and operational leadership for nursing and health services across the organization. This position is responsible for ensuring high-quality, person-centered healthcare services, regulatory compliance, clinical oversight, staff development, and coordination of healthcare supports that promote the health, safety, and well-being of individuals served.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
  • Minimum of three years of progressive nursing experience, including at least two years of supervisory or leadership experience.
  • Licensed RN in the state of North Dakota, or the ability to apply for and receive reciprocity from another state as a licensed RN with an unencumbered license before starting this position.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence using correct spelling, form, and content.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or fellow employees.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with many abstract and concrete variables.
  • Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR), Microsoft Office applications, healthcare documentation systems, and data reporting tools.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, Public Health, or related field preferred.
