About The Position

CarePoint Response, Inc. (CPR) is seeking a Mobile Crisis Director to provide strategic leadership and clinical oversight for its Mobile Response Services Program. This role involves overseeing a multidisciplinary team that delivers 24/7 crisis intervention services across Baltimore City and Baltimore County. The Director will ensure individuals experiencing behavioral health crises receive timely, compassionate, and effective care. Collaboration with community partners, healthcare providers, emergency services, and behavioral health systems is key to promoting continuity of care and strengthening regional crisis response. This position offers an opportunity to shape crisis services, mentor clinical teams, drive quality improvement, and help individuals access life-changing support.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in clinical psychology (MA or MS) or master's degree in social work (MSW), required
  • Current Maryland State license (LCPC or LCSW-C), required
  • Completion of Licensure Supervisory Hours, required
  • Three years of experience as a counseling professional, required
  • Five years of experience working with behavioral health clients in acute crisis, required.
  • Two years of management experience in community mental health, required.
  • A valid and unrestricted driver’s license, required
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Products, required

Nice To Haves

  • Current BLS Certification is preferred
  • Seven years of experience working within the behavioral health services system, preferred.
  • Five years of experience managing administrative and clinical staff performing direct services and providing supervision to others, preferred.
  • Proficiency and familiarity with EHR/EMR systems, preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provide overall leadership, management, and oversight of 24/7/365 Mobile Crisis Response Services across Baltimore City and Baltimore County.
  • Ensure timely and effective coordination with Call Center, Nursing, Clinical, and Crisis Response teams to facilitate rapid response to referrals and service requests.
  • Supervise department leadership and staff, ensuring regular supervision, performance evaluations, professional development, and compliance with training requirements.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable state, local, accreditation, and Greater Baltimore Regional Crisis standards governing crisis response and behavioral health services.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor quality improvement initiatives, policies, procedures, and performance metrics to enhance service delivery and operational effectiveness.
  • Monitor clinical documentation, service utilization, outcome data, and reporting requirements, ensuring accurate and timely submission of required reports.
  • Lead recruitment, hiring, onboarding, retention, scheduling, and timekeeping processes for Mobile Crisis staff.
  • Build and maintain collaborative relationships with behavioral health authorities, hospitals, law enforcement agencies, outpatient providers, community organizations, referral sources, and regional crisis partners.
  • Participate in community outreach, public education, crisis intervention training, critical incident response, debriefings, and other activities that support awareness and access to crisis services.
  • Oversee operational resources, technology systems, authorizations, data management, and program enhancements to support efficient service delivery and organizational objectives.
  • Serve as an on-call leader and perform other duties as assigned to support the mission, goals, and strategic priorities of the organization.
