About The Position

The Director of Medical Education (DMSE) is the Centra education leader who supervises the scheduling and coordination of clinical rotations for LUCOM medical students at Centra and in the Central Virginia region. The DMSE works closely with LUCOM leadership to ensure medical students receive great clinical experiences. The DMSE also communicates, develops, and implements educational strategies- in collaboration with both internal and external partners- to support Centra’s mission, vision, values, and strategic plans, ensuring a measurable retention of Centra trained students as long-term employees for Centra. Requirements

• Experience in medical education leadership.
• Ability to supervise scheduling and coordination of clinical rotations.
• Skills in collaborating with internal and external partners.
• Understanding of educational strategies and implementation.
• Focus on student retention and employee recruitment.
