About The Position

This role owns the annual strategic marketing plan and budget, develops and maintains the sales enablement toolkit, and leads brand identity and messaging guidelines. The position also involves Salesforce strategy for lead conversion and account growth, overseeing strategic marketing planning in coordination with Senior Management, and monitoring plan feasibility. Responsibilities include monthly SEO/SEM audits and optimization, technical content production, paid search campaign management, website UI/UX updates, market research, and designing strategies to capitalize on opportunities. The role also involves researching strategic alliances, formulating the marketing budget, ensuring cost-effectiveness, leveraging alliances for business development, negotiating marketing contracts, ensuring CRM and Marketing Cloud system utilization, and staying current with industry trends. Additionally, the Director of Marketing develops advertising and public relations programs, recommends sales promotion campaigns, oversees trade shows and product launches, conducts reviews of sales activities, develops sales contests and incentives, provides recommendations for sales and service improvements, completes special projects, supervises and trains department associates, participates in performance evaluations, keeps management informed, supports operating and financial plans, ensures business operational processes are stable and efficient, and performs other duties as required.

Responsibilities

  • Owns Annual Strategic Marketing Plan and Budget.
  • Develops and Maintains Sales Enablement Toolkit (pitch decks, technical data sheets, and competitive battle cards).
  • Leads Brand Identity and Messaging Guidelines.
  • Salesforce Strategy to track lead conversion and account growth.
  • Oversees, in coordination with Senior Management, short and long-term strategic marketing planning.
  • Updates and monitors the feasibility of strategic plans on an on-going basis.
  • Monthly SEO/SEM Performance Audits and Optimization and reports results via dashboard
  • Technical Content Production (white papers on mold steels, case studies, and blog posts).
  • Paid Search (PPC) and Retargeting Campaign Management.
  • Website UI/UX updates to improve the customer experience.
  • Researches and analyzes environmental and competitive conditions, customer needs, and market trends.
  • Designs strategies to capitalize on market opportunities and ensures that strategic plans complement market place needs.
  • Researches and recommends potential strategic alliances with third-parties and other businesses.
  • Formulates the marketing budget.
  • Ensures that marketing activities are cost effective, efficient, and within established budget constraints.
  • Leverages current alliances and customer relationships to further expand business development opportunities at all levels.
  • Writes proposals and negotiates marketing contracts with third parties.
  • Ensures that the CRM and Marketing Cloud systems are fully utilized and that the marketing and sales organization comply with established guidelines and practices.
  • Maintains a current knowledge of industry trends, opportunities, channels, products, and competitors to support business development opportunities.
  • Develops and manages advertising and public relations programs.
  • Recommends and administers sales promotion campaigns, as it relates to oversees trade shows, special offers, training seminars, product launches, and selling incentives.
  • In collaboration with the V.P. Sales and Marketing, conducts regular reviews of sales activities and effectiveness.
  • Develops sales contests, promotions, and incentives to increase sales and improve performance on weaker products.
  • Provides recommendations regarding improvements in sales and service delivery, programs, and procedures.
  • Completes special projects as assigned.
  • Supervises and assists department associates to marketing functions and duties are accurately and promptly completed.
  • Trains associates on best practice methods.
  • Participates in performance evaluation process of direct reports.
  • Keeps management informed of area activities and of any significant problems or concerns.
  • Supports the development of annual and five year operating and financial plans in conjunction with the management team.
  • Ensures business operational processes are stable, efficient and accurate.
  • Performs other duties as required.
