About The Position

Long Home is seeking an experienced Director of Marketing to lead our B2C marketing strategy and drive brand growth, customer acquisition, lead generation, and marketing performance across multiple products and markets. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who is equally comfortable setting strategy and digging into the numbers. You'll oversee a multi-channel marketing organization spanning digital and traditional advertising, field marketing, retail and events, creative, lifecycle marketing, and Contact Center operations. The Director of Marketing will own marketing performance against lead volume, appointment volume, cost per lead, cost per appointment, cost of marketing as a percentage of revenue, brand growth and ROI goals while partnering closely with Sales and senior leadership to ensure marketing investment translates into revenue. The role manages an annual marketing budget of $35-50M.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of progressive B2C marketing experience, including significant leadership and team management experience.
  • Proven success developing and executing performance-driven customer acquisition, lead-generation, and brand strategies.
  • Experience managing significant multi-channel marketing budgets with accountability for ROI, customer acquisition cost, lead cost, or similar performance metrics.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing, paid media, traditional advertising, field/retail marketing, lifecycle marketing, and lead generation.
  • Demonstrated ability to build brand awareness while also delivering against short-term acquisition and revenue goals.
  • Strong understanding of the entire customer acquisition funnel and the relationship between marketing, lead quality, sales conversion, and revenue.
  • Proven ability to evaluate organizational capabilities, develop talent, and build high-performing teams.
  • Experience managing and evaluating agencies, media partners, technology vendors, and other external partners.
  • Strong strategic thinking combined with a willingness to remain hands-on and close to execution.
  • Experience with CRM, marketing automation, call tracking, attribution, analytics, and modern marketing technology.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience managing marketing across multiple products, locations, or geographic markets strongly preferred.
  • Salesforce experience preferred.
  • Experience in home improvement, home services, or another high-volume B2C business with significant direct-response and lead-generation marketing strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute company-wide marketing strategies aligned with revenue, customer acquisition, lead generation, brand, and growth objectives.
  • Own the marketing budget and continually optimize investment to improve lead volume, lead quality, cost efficiency, and ROI.
  • Lead marketing across all channels, including paid search, Google Local Service Ads, SEO, paid social, display, OTT/streaming, local TV and radio, email, SMS, direct mail, third-party lead providers, creative and lifecycle marketing.
  • Develop strategies to strengthen brand awareness and market share in both established and emerging markets, tailoring the approach based on market maturity, consumer behavior, and competitive dynamics.
  • Establish and manage performance goals and KPIs across products, markets, campaigns, channels, and lead sources.
  • Partner closely with Sales to forecast lead demand, evaluate lead quality and downstream conversion, diagnose performance issues, and improve overall sales outcomes.
  • Build and optimize customer journeys across email, SMS, retargeting, and other lifecycle marketing channels to improve engagement and conversion.
  • Evaluate channel and campaign performance and quickly shift strategy, creative, or investment based on results.
  • Manage agency, media, technology, and marketing vendor relationships, including contract negotiations and performance accountability.
  • Evaluate the appropriate balance of internal capabilities and external partners, building scalable in-house expertise where it improves performance, speed, or cost efficiency.
  • Continuously evaluate the marketing technology ecosystem and identify opportunities to improve integration, attribution, automation, personalization, and customer engagement.
  • Identify and test new channels, technologies, partnerships, and marketing strategies that can create incremental growth.
  • Oversee promotional planning and ensure Marketing, Sales, and Contact Center teams are aligned and prepared to effectively execute campaigns.
  • Evaluate the marketing organization, identify talent and capability gaps, and build the team and structure needed to support company growth.
  • Lead, coach, and develop marketing leaders while creating clear accountability around measurable performance.
  • Protect and strengthen the Long Home brand while ensuring consistency across products, markets, channels, and customer touchpoints.

Benefits

  • Base Salary: $125,000–$150,000
  • Performance Bonus: Up to 35,000 annually
