About the Role The Director of Marketing at Joyce University leads the execution of integrated marketing initiatives across digital and traditional channels, driving brand presence and enrollment growth. Reporting to the Senior Director of Marketing, this role translates overarching marketing strategy into day-to-day operations, campaign execution, and team performance. The Director of Marketing manages and develops direct reports, overseas paid media and lead generation efforts, and partners cross-functionally with Admissions, Academic Affairs, and other university stakeholders. This role calls for a strong mix of analytical expertise, creative thinking, operational discipline, and people leadership.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Advertising, Journalism, IT, or a related field.
  • 6+ years of progressive marketing experience.
  • Experience managing integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Strong understanding of paid digital marketing, lead generation, analytics, and social media strategy.
  • Experience leading and developing team members.

Responsibilities

  • Lead Integrated Marketing Strategy & Execution
  • Manage and execute all paid digital media campaigns, including social media advertising, SEM, display, and other paid channels, ensuring alignment with enrollment goals.
  • Oversee lead generation efforts, monitoring inquiry volume and funnel performance to meet quarterly and annual enrollment targets.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy, including content creation, scheduling, community management, and performance analysis, to enhance brand visibility and engagement.
  • Own marketing analytics and reporting: independently monitor dashboards and analyze traffic, engagement, and conversion trends across paid, social, events, and other channels.
  • Oversee recurring and ad-hoc reporting (weekly, monthly, and yearly), translating data into clear, actionable recommendations for senior leadership, and proactively adjust campaigns and strategy
  • Manage paid digital marketing budgets across channels, allocating spend strategically to drive efficient inquiry and enrollment performance.
  • Supervise direct reports including Social Media Coordinator, Marketing Manager, and Events Manager, providing clear direction, regular feedback, and ongoing coaching and development.
  • Apply a strong understanding of the Joyce University brand and ensure it is implemented consistently across paid media, social, events, creative, and other channels.
  • Oversee integrated campaign development end-to-end - from strategy to execution - across paid, social, events, creative, web, and other channels, ensuring alignment with audience, goals, and brand.
  • Oversee the Marketing Help Desk system to ensure timely fulfillment of marketing requests from across the organization.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Director of Marketing to ensure marketing efforts reflect a cohesive voice, look, and feel across all channels and materials.
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and best practices across managed platforms; communicate insights to the team and cross-functional stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Collaborate with the Senior Interactive Marketing Manager to ensure website content, UX, and functionality supports marketing and institutional objectives.
  • Work with the Graphic Designer and Copywriter to produce a wide variety of marketing materials and collateral, including print, digital, and video assets.
  • Partner with Admissions and Enrollment teams to align marketing efforts with enrollment funnel priorities and optimize cost per enrollment.
  • Lead events function, partnering with and managing the Events Manager to plan and execute university events (e.g., graduation, orientation, recruitment events) that support enrollment, student experience, and brand objectives; provide hands-on support alongside team members during events as needed.
  • Support external agency relationships and vendor management as directed by the Senior Director of Marketing.
