The University of Iowa's College of Pharmacy is seeking a Director of Marketing and Communications to lead its marketing efforts as a strategic growth driver. This role is responsible for finding students whose goals align with the college's offerings, building awareness in key pipelines, and creating compelling messaging across all relevant channels. The director will develop and lead the college's marketing and communications strategy with a focus on enrollment growth, program reputation, and audience engagement. As an embedded marketing lead within the university's Office of Strategic Communication, the director will serve as the primary connection between the College of Pharmacy and specialist resources such as creative, content, web, and enrollment marketing functions. Initially, the role involves working with the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to establish new capabilities and infrastructure, including audience research, positioning and messaging, web strategy, and enrollment marketing, while gaining expertise in pharmacy education and its prospective student landscape. The director will also provide strategic direction for communications with alumni, preceptors, faculty, and current students to reinforce the college's market position. Over time, the role will transition to owning the college's brand positioning, enrollment marketing channels, and coordinating Office of Strategic Communication resources to support the college's objectives.
