About The Position

The Director of Manufacturing leads operations at one of KMM’s high-performance production sites in Dickinson, North Dakota, or Kerrville, Texas. Reporting to the COO, this executive role is responsible for safe, compliant, and efficient manufacturing operations, including capacity planning, production scheduling, labor optimization, and factory-wide performance. The Director ensures products meet quality and regulatory standards and that customer commitments are delivered consistently.

The role leads, develops, and inspires a multi-layered organization of manufacturing leaders and up to 250 employees. It promotes accountability, employee engagement, and continuous improvement, applying Lean principles and data-driven decision-making to improve throughput, reduce waste, and strengthen first-pass yield. The Director works cross-functionally with Program Management, Engineering, Quality, and Supply Chain to support seamless execution and resilient production performance.

Requirements

• Deep experience in aerospace or advanced manufacturing.
• Strong QMS expertise.
• Leadership presence to align teams, optimize systems, and deliver sustained operational excellence.

Responsibilities
