About The Position

As a leading manufacturer of hand soaps, sanitizers, and skin care products, we are seeking a Director of Manufacturing who is passionate about operational excellence, people development, and continuous improvement. Based in our LEED® Silver Certified, FDA-registered facility, this leadership role will guide manufacturing strategy and execution while building a culture focused on safety, quality, efficiency, and teamwork.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, operations management, business, or a related field;
  • 10 or more years of progressive manufacturing experience in a high-mix, complex-SKU environment.
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing operations, production scheduling, material flow, inventory control, Lean principles, and continuous improvement.
  • Significant skills in team building and the effective leadership of managers and supervisors.
  • Proven analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP, Quality Management Systems, Microsoft Office, and other business platforms.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a cGMP-regulated environment is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute manufacturing strategies supporting safety, quality, cost, capacity, and order-fulfillment objectives.
  • Establish effective operating systems, standardized work, performance metrics, escalation processes, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Champion Lean Manufacturing principles and foster a unified “One-Operation” culture.
  • Develop manufacturing managers and supervisors through coaching, capability building, succession planning, and performance management.
  • Partner with Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, EHS, and other teams to meet customer demand and support business growth.
  • Use SAP, Redzone, MasterControl, and other systems to support data-driven decisions.
  • Maintain operational readiness for regulatory and customer requirements, including FDA, EPA, OSHA, and Health Canada.
  • Build a safety-first culture across all shifts and lead efforts to proactively identify and reduce operational risk.
