Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
  • 5+ years of management experience required.
  • Manufacturing experience (3 years preferred) in rapid growing company.
  • Experience in injection molding and/or mattress manufacturing preferred.
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office suite – comfortable in Excel and PPT.
  • Ability to manage and put ideas forward.
  • Ability to work in a project team and communicate across the organization (Corporate / Zone).
  • Sufficient technical knowledge to effectively interface with other departments and personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for developing production, maintenance, engineering performance metrics.
  • Accountable for planning, implementation and directing of all production/manufacturing, maintenance and engineering activities.

  • Works closely with the finance department to align production build with cash flow planning and management.
  • Mentor and grow management talent.
  • Ensures managers provide leadership, coaching/training, respect, transparency, and a chance to grow for all production employees.
  • Holds production, maintenance, engineering personnel accountable for a strong work ethic, productivity, innovation, profitability, and safety.
  • Creates strategies to focus on the Employee Experience, reduce/eliminate waste/scrap, and ensure a product free of defects.
  • Provide leadership in continuous improvement activities to achieve Purples goals of meeting quality, cost, and delivery objectives.
  • Develop and provide feedback on sustainability plan and recycling program for manufacturing components.
  • Take action to resolve manufacturing, availability, and quality problems when they occur and prevent recurrence
  • Liaise with superior to make decisions for operational activities and set strategic goals.
  • Plan and monitor the day-to-day running of business to ensure smooth progress.
  • Supervise staff from different departments within production and provide constructive feedback.
  • Evaluate regularly the efficiency of business procedures according to organizational objectives and apply improvements.
  • Manage procurement processes and coordinate material and resources allocation.
  • Review financial information and adjust operational budgets to promote profitability.
