About The Position

This role oversees the daily operations for landscape maintenance crews and enhancement teams. The Director will manage scheduling, staffing, routing, and job assignments to ensure efficient and timely completion of work. A key aspect of the role involves leading, training, and developing supervisors, crew leaders, technicians, and field staff. The position requires ensuring all maintenance and enhancement work meets company quality standards and client expectations, with regular site reviews to inspect quality, identify improvements, and ensure safety compliance. Building and maintaining strong client relationships through communication and issue resolution is crucial. The role also involves identifying, estimating, and selling enhancement opportunities, developing budgets, pricing, production goals, and revenue targets in collaboration with leadership. Monitoring costs, coordinating with vendors, and partnering with HR on staffing and employee management are also key responsibilities. Ensuring adherence to company policies, safety procedures, and proper job site conduct, along with managing customer concerns and maintaining accurate records, are essential. The Director will support the continued growth and professional image of Bedrock Landscaping.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in landscape maintenance, enhancements, or related field management.
  • Previous leadership experience managing multiple crews, supervisors, or departments.
  • Strong knowledge of landscape maintenance, irrigation, plant material, enhancement work, equipment, and seasonal landscape needs.
  • Experience with estimating, job costing, budgeting, scheduling, and production management.
  • Ability to read site plans, scopes of work, contracts, and customer specifications.
  • Strong communication, leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record required.

  • Enhancements sales or estimating experience.
  • Irrigation knowledge or irrigation license preferred.
  • Experience managing commercial landscape accounts.
  • Experience with job costing, crew productivity, and operational reporting.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations for landscape maintenance crews and enhancement teams.
  • Manage scheduling, staffing, routing, and job assignments to ensure work is completed efficiently and on time.
  • Lead, train, and develop supervisors, crew leaders, technicians, and field staff.
  • Ensure all maintenance and enhancement work meets company quality standards and client expectations.
  • Review job sites regularly to inspect quality, identify opportunities for improvement, and ensure safety compliance.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication, site walks, follow-up, and issue resolution.
  • Identify, estimate, and sell enhancement opportunities, including seasonal color, landscape upgrades, irrigation repairs, mulch, plantings, drainage improvements, and other site improvements.
  • Work with leadership to develop budgets, pricing, production goals, and revenue targets for the maintenance and enhancements division.
  • Monitor labor, materials, equipment, and job costs to ensure profitability.
  • Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to secure materials, equipment, and services needed for projects.
  • Partner with HR and leadership on staffing needs, recruiting, employee performance, training, disciplinary actions, and retention.
  • Ensure crews follow company policies, safety procedures, equipment standards, and proper job site conduct.
  • Review and manage customer concerns, service issues, and corrective action plans.
  • Maintain accurate records related to schedules, work orders, estimates, job costs, customer communication, and team performance.
  • Support the continued growth and professional image of Bedrock Landscaping.
